Autumn in April and Goofy GIFs

Most of my "hobby time" lately has been devoted to listening to Victorian/Edwardian ghostly/mysterious short stories on YouTube (I recommend Bitesized Audio Classics !) while working on a diamond painting.  The diamond painting is on an autumnal theme, so it's a perfect match. 😁 Actually, though-- as I may have mentioned here a few dozen times before-- it is always autumn in my heart, so I may just carry on doing October things until the months flip by and the calendar agrees with me.  I'll take a brief break for Thanksgiving, Christmas, maybe New Year's Eve (though I'm not big on NYE, to be honest)... Then it's back to Always-Autumn Fantasy Land for me! 😎 My current quilt project is also autumnal.  Bonnie Hunter's "Appalachian Autumn".   It was in time-out for a while because I was dreading making the sashing and cornerstones, but now those are underway.  The leaves are also joined up into foursomes, and the next step is to fully assemble

Diamond Painting #2

I finished my second little diamond painting yesterday.  It came in a set of two fox-themed pictures, and I chose to work on it first because I like the other one better and wanted to save it for later.  This one's not bad, but the fox takes up less of the picture, so it doesn't have as much detail.  The colors are a little abrupt on the fox, too, but I kind of like the color palette, with all the pinks and purples and oranges.  It might not be anyone's favorite diamond painting, but it was still fun to do.  The item code is B108, and I got it here (Amazon affiliate link), if anyone's interested.   As always, it looks better from a distance, and it's difficult to capture the sparkle in a photo, but I snapped a couple, anyway.   View this post on Instagram A post shared by Michael Johansson (@mossy.owls) - - - - - - - I'm still trying to do some watercolor/doodling on a regular basis, though missing just a day or two has already pushed it f
